WHAT ARE PADI COURSES AND SPECIALITY COURSES, AND HOW DO THEY WORK?
Here's a breakdown of how a typical PADI diving course is run

1 Knowledge Development: PADI courses begin with a series of knowledge development sessions, which can be completed either online, divers learn the fundamentals of diving, including the physics of diving, dive equipment. PADI charge a fee for their training materials but we include them in the price on site NO HIDDEN FEE’S.

2 Confined Water Dives: After completing the knowledge development sessions, divers move on to the confined water dives, which here in the warm gentle waters of Gran Canaria, take place in shallow water areas. During these dives, divers learn basic scuba skills, such as how to breathe underwater, how to clear their mask.
3 Open Water Dives: Once divers have completed the confined water dives and demonstrated competency in basic scuba skills, they move on to the open water dives. These dives take place in the ocean, and provide divers with the opportunity to apply their skills in a real-world setting. During the open water dives, divers typically complete several dives under the supervision of a PADI instructor, and may also have the opportunity to explore underwater environments such as reefs or wrecks.
4 Certification: After completing the knowledge development, confined water dives, and open water dives to the required standard for their course,, divers receive a PADI certification card indicating their level of certification. PADI offers a variety of certification levels, from beginner to professional, and divers can continue to build their skills and knowledge by completing additional courses and specialties.

PADI diving courses are designed to provide divers with a comprehensive introduction to the world of scuba diving, while emphasising safety and skill development.
