Discover the Beauty of Arguineguin Reef

Arguineguin reef is a popular diving site located near the fishing town of the same name. The reef is an old lava stream that stretches for 700 meters and features numerous overhangs. These overhangs provide shelter for various marine creatures such as stingrays, moray eels, and large pufferfish. Additionally, there are many colorful anemones and cleaner shrimps that can be spotted among the rocks.

One of the main attractions of the reef is the large shoal of grunts, or "roncadores." Swimming through them and looking up can offer divers a great opportunity to see barracudas and even tuna! In the sandy areas surrounding the reef, it is possible to encounter angel sharks, different kinds of rays, and a variety of small fishes.

The presence of big rocks and overhangs also makes the reef a popular spot for octopus and cuttlefish. Divers are encouraged to explore the length of the reef, as it is not too deep, allowing for a long dive. Make sure to look under the overhangs to find some exciting surprises!

Overall, Arguineguin reef is a must-visit for diving enthusiasts looking to explore the beautiful marine life of the Canary Islands.
