Discover the Abundance of Marine Life at Pasito Blanco Reef
Pasito Reef is a beautiful oval shaped reef located just a 15-minute sail from our harbour. Rising up from the bottom at 19 meters with the top of the reef at approximately 15 meters, Pasito Reef is a favourite dive site for novice and more experienced divers alike. The reef boasts a large concentration of marine life at shallower and medium depths.
As you descend onto the reef, a large shoal of Roncadores may completely obscure the view until you swim through them. This shoal is often accompanied by Barracudas, Tunas and Bonitos that are hunting the sardines that are hiding between the roncadores. Look up and enjoy this beautiful spectacle. The reef's local name, Chucho, which means stingray, comes from the frequent sightings of stingrays here. You may also see electric rays, Butterfly rays, Eagle Rays and occasionally Angel sharks in the sandy area of the reef.
